UK Schmidt image, λ4680A, width 24 arcmin.

Notes

    A bright nearby spiral galaxy that is viewed nearly edge-on (Ulrich 1978). The optical spectrum reveals narrow Hβ and [OIII]λ5007 emission lines from this starburst galaxy, but no stellar absorption features were detected in the low S/N spectrum of Tadhunter et al. (1993).
