Notes

A well known Bl Lac object observed by Conway & Stannard (1972) and by Ekers et al. (1989).

The optical spectrum reveals the characteristic BL Lac features: a relatively featureless continuum and [OIII]λ5007 and  [OIII]λ3727 lines of small equivalent width. The continuum is blue, but the MgIb stellar absorption feature is detected.
